Dean Franklin fell in love with his best friend Edie in the fourth grade. Unfortunately, he never thought he was good enough for her. After Edie’s sexual assault, Dean works to help her put the pieces of her life back together while dealing with demons of his own. Add into the mix the fact that he’s forced to keep a secret from her that might haver her hating him and the poor guy can’t catch a break when it comes to love.

While we first meet Dean in Hush, that’s not the last we see of him. He makes appearances in the rest of the I’m Yours books. He is flawed for sure, but that’s what makes him so lovable and real.
