10 Best Age Gaps
The romance genre has always been one of the best selling genres there is. That hasn’t changed. What’s changing is they’re no longer just ‘guilty pleasures’ or ‘dirty little secrets'. Romance novels are finally getting the respect they deserve. With this newfound legitimacy, more and more romance categories are coming into focus.
If you’re like me, age gaps top your list of favorite romance tropes. Nothing beats a story where there’s a forbidden element. Below are ten of my favorite age gap reads that will have you swooning. Enjoy!
The Lovely Return by Carian Cole
You can’t go wrong with a Carian Cole book. This age gap will have you turning the pages as quickly as you can to devour this story. Some bonds are unbreakable.
Just One Wish by Mica Rae
This novella is fast paced and packs a big punch. Single dad Nick discovers Holly injured in an alley. He sets out to save her, but she ends up saving him.
Respect by Jay Crownover
Booker is the hero that even the bad guys are scared of. He tries to do the honorable thing and send Karsen away but fate has other plans. I love that we see Karsen grow into a strong, fierce woman ending with her own beautiful love story.
Unbeautifully by Madeline Sheehan
I love biker books and the Undeniable series by Sheehan is one of the first I read. It’s a beauty and the beast inspired dad’s best friend romance.
Don’t Kiss the Bride by Carian Cole
Carian Cole is one of my favorite authors. Her age gaps are always packed with so much emotion they hurt (but in the best possible way). DKTB is *chef’s kiss*.
To Hive and To Hold by Mae Harden
Mae Harden outdoes herself with this enemies-to-lovers age gap. Anytime you throw enemies and a fake dating situation together, it’s an adventure, but when Mae does it, you know it’s going to be HOT!
Bad for a Weekend by Misty Walker
The bodyguard and the young woman he’s protecting… Yes, please! Nothing beats forbidden romances where the stakes are high.
Rebelling Into Forever by Mica Rae
Riggs is a retired motocross champion who does everything to resist Zoe. She’s his tattoo artist’s stepdaughter and the same age as his own daughter. He manages to just be friends until they wake up married in Vegas.
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time by Kylie Scott
Dad’s best friend and business partner… Need I say more? I love when the hero just can’t resist the heroine. This book makes for one heck of a ride.
Skin to Skin by Mica Rae
Jeff is a widower who just wants to forget the hole left behind by his wife. Emma’s looking for a little fun. One night and two pink lines later everything changes.
*Full disclosure: I wrote some of these books so I obviously love them. Hopefully, most (if not all) authors adore their characters and stories.
